Since the first time I played, this has been the only game i've played that has been able to give off the same vibes as Battlefield Bad Company 2 to this extent. I'll quote a video I watched : "This game isn't innovation, it's a game that has concepts we know work that the last few Battlefield games seemed to have forgotten.

Your followers poop on the floor then complain about the environment being messy. Made 20 bowl of poop and now that's all my followers want to eat. 10/10 send help

biased (probably) dumb review : had to do this for achievement and I wish this didn't exist to 100% achievements for dishonored. for me, this is not the same game as the main campaign and both other story dlcs, which then makes me see it as playing a different game that I must play for 100% achievements. unless you like minigames and at the same time not want 100% achievements, skip this one imo

My game of the year. I played this game a bunch and it never gets old for the same reasons left 4 dead's enemy wave based combat just never gets boring. They keep updating this game after it's release and is a delight to play with friends.

9/10 (not a 10 because mactera swarm is in the game)

UPDATE: I've reinstalled and played the game to story completion and I can say without a doubt that this game is optimised enough to my liking and that the previous statement can no longer be seen as my current opinion of the game. 505 games have done a great job with making this game run well on PC (atleast in my experience) and I congratulate them for keeping the updates rolling. I'll keep my old review included in this one for the context of my experience with this game.

Its very hard for me to give this game a negative review. I love this game and how fluid the combat and stealth is. It impresses me in how the world immerses you in this neanderthal world that for some reason has robot dinosaurs and has the capacity to make it not seem goofy.

Unfortunetly, I have been incappable to play this game for more than 1 hour because of crashes that immediatly take you out of the game world and make you confront the sad reality that the port for this game is horrible. For a 3 year old game, I should be able to run this game on medium to low settings with an assured 60 fps in all areas, but I clearly cant.

This review is more of a complaint in hopes that the developers will fix this port up to a minimum level so that it ATLEAST doesn't crash in any shape or form. I will be hoping and staying determined that the devs can clearly see how they screwed up on the optimisation and work on fixing this as soon as possible.

This review will switch to a positive review when this is achieved.

Played with a few friends

I've been playing it for a while so I know what i'm doing
One guy plays as the spider dude

We survive up until the middle of winter

Deerclops, winter's boss, appears

My friend which was playing as the spider dude announces
hes made a bunch of spider nests in his inventory and lays them down everywhere

We all die due to stunlock and no armor 10/10 never play as webber again

Pros:
- Great combat and world design
- Highly repeatable content
- Attention to detail 10/10
- Great fun in co-op
- Build making is top notch with room for niche builds
- Expansion that gives you more of what you love without being redundant and unoriginal

Cons:
- Online system is terrible, I have lost count of how many times I have disconnected mid hunt from someone I joined (friends and random people alike). It is unacceptable for a game like this to have a horrible online system in which multiple people like myself have had connection problems on online hunts in a mostly co-op game.
- You can't join your friends until they have viewed the cutscene for the mission they are playing (small problem for some people, big problem for others that enjoy a story with people albeit a very small part of the game)

Conclusion: It saddens me greatly to leave a negative review on this game in which I have had so much fun, but the online problems these days have stacked up to the point I have lost most interest in doing hunts and sieges with others. If this were to ever change in the future, (it probably won't due to the devs moving on to a different game) I will change my review to positive.

For those that love chaotic games that snowball out of control. Prepare yourself to utter the phrase "one more run".
