Why there is no manual saves in jorney?

subj
it can be done now by manipulating save folder
so why do not give players ability to do saves-loads when they want to?

Because you are suppose to lose all your progress after a journey fails...If you can do manual save, then the game will be pointless

I can to store my progress anyway
but by far more complicated file manipulations
so - what's the point?
