I don't have all of them yet, but I highly enjoy Twilight, and any of them that add cats, snakes or spiders.

I liked the ones that added animals that swim a lot.

Anyway, For myself it is difficult to make choice of one over the other. They all have merits and weaknesses that affect their quality. Which one do I use more? Well, that depends on my current project.
But to each their own and no need to deny any one person their favorites.

Personally I enjoy the North america DLC and the Twilight DLC Aquatic is good as well. Though the most cost effective is North america it gives you 8 animals rather then the usual 5.

Barnyard i kinda enjoy the least tbh

The animals that live in cold climates are good because you can give them snow. But every animal in the game has their interesting bits.

Is the Mating and stuff all similar in every DLC? Or does each one have separate mechanics?

Each species is supposedly slightly different but it is difficult to tell that in most cases.
By the way, it's all very dumbed down in terms of mating and birth in the game. One would think because of the target audience...

Mating is all done by magic, and babies teleport in from somewhere. I guess so it's not as messy as real life. But it could all happen in the privacy of their shelters, with the sound off.
