This game is weird to me, because it feels like arcsys wanted to make a game like 3rd strike but didn't understand that you can't just give a parry system, short combo strings and heavy neutral game and expect it to be the same. It has a blazing mechanic which makes your character 'more powerful', similar to the modes that exist in kof but unlike them, it doesn't scale off of the amount of meter you have making it kinda overly situational to do anything with since you have it for such short time. You can tell there's a lot of heart in this game and see some moveset inspiration in which gets repurposed beautifully in blazblue; but as it stands its so bear bones that I can't even qualify it as a kusoge. If you want a game with accessibility greater then street fighter but still have motion inputs this is the game for you. Its fun, but unless you want something simple I wouldn't recommend it. Gale wing combos are sick at least.
