Anyone know how to get PS5 controller working with this game?

I've tried all options of turning Steam input on/off or setting it to default. And tried classic method of downloading X360ce.exe and placing it in the game's directory, Nothing worked. I'm out of ideas. Anyone know a fix?

oh I'm not crazy after all. Didn't work via Rewasd either.

oh wait I figured it out. You have to set your controls to controller from the options that are in the splash screen not from within the game. Worked fine once I did that.
