Homing rockets just annoying to use?

Espially on last few of missions

Like i try get hit that thing which upon hit disables shields from enemys that were in its range

But enemy rockets have no prob hitting me when i try hit that thing with rockets

And rockets just home in shielded enemys and not the thing it should to get rid of shields
