Here to just echo the description of old-school Zelda / Metroid / bullet hell mashup. I had a great time playing this on the Steam Deck.

Pros
-Progression is able to be customized at any time (upgrade aspects of your ship, or downgrade and swap points around) and you're always getting experience as you explore the world (or while you run back to where you last met your end)
-Upgrades to provide you clear indications of where you are missing upgrades/unlocks, so you eventually won't have to go re-exploring every nook and cranny.
-Bullet patterns weren't entirely unreasonable (beat the game in Advanced mode), but some of those later patterns will have you sweating and keeping a memory of how to dodge each onslaught.

Cons
-Getting back to where you were if you die in the main overworld can be a bit frustrating, as there is no fast-travel or waypoints. While the world is small enough to return in short order, may be slightly annoying if you keep throwing yourself at a particular challenge
-There is an arena area where there is an additional goal to complete other than just beating each stage. but having no immediate retry option was annoying when I was aiming to complete the extra goal.

Definitely had a great time with this game, love mashups of different genres that really pull it off well.

This is a great little metroidvania x bullet hell. That's maybe not fair, it's probably more accurately a zelda x bullet hell. I've played through it to 100% on Normal difficulty and it was challenging but almost never frustrating; I'm sure Hard will be a better option for the masochists out there.

The artwork and design is fantastic, controls are perfect for the genre, the difficulty ramps nicely as the game progresses - just when you feel OP, new harder enemies turn up. The sound design is good too.

Overall, highly recommended - It's not a long game but thoroughly enjoyable.

Great game, super addictive and fun start to end. Not a fan of the racing segments though but they seem to be mostly optional unless you want to strive for 100% completeness.

The first Zelda-type game I've ever liked. It finally clicked for me. I'm gonna go play the remake of A Link to the Past

I enjoyed what I played of this game! It's basically a little zelda like game with twin-stick shmup controls, so if that sort of thing still applies to you, try this game out!

Even with the personally 2 year wait for me, the game's very fun.

Fitting the Developer is named SoulGame because this game is full of soul! Perfect top down adventure game, heavily inspired by old Zelda games.
