Failed To Create D3D Device

I've tried everything in the Steam Support section, but nothing works, is there anything i can do?

try putting this in launch options
-windowed
i had the same bug and this worked for me

For me it is because the game launches in in a different aspect ratio, I typed "-windowed" in launch options then changed aspect ratios and resolutions from there

I figured out how to fix the resolution so it doesn't stretch

You want to go into video and change the aspect ration to 16:9 then change the resolution to the native one and there you go (16:9 is widescreen ratio)

also this is kinda best to do instead of playing it through the -windowed option

Same problem (as I imagine, everyone with a monitor different than 4:3 ratio).
- started with "-windowed"
- changed to 16:9 ratio
- changed the resolution (1920x1080)
- chose borderless window
- apply
- removed the -windowed starting parameter.
