Video Transcript

Well, Cody Williams dreams came true selected 10th overall to the Utah Jazz.

Fun fact, Cody Williams is the highest drafted player from Colorado since chauncey Billups talking about since 1997.

So good pick up for the Jazz KP.

I'll start with you here.

I love, I love Cody Williams, the younger brother of Oklahoma City, thunder forward, Jalen Williams.

We were two picks away from seeing the brothers reunited.

Not gonna happen.

He's heading to Utah.

What I love most about Cody is he's 19 years old.

He's kind of been a slow burn.

He was a slow riser rising up the ranks in high school.

And so I think he's going to be great in this rebuild team for the Jazz.

He reminds me a lot of mcdaniels, his defensive versatility with his length and how he can guard positions one through four with ease.

And we have to remember he's 19.

He's much farther along than where his brother was at this stage in his age.

And Jalen Williams is going to be a max contract guy at.

Ok. Yeah, when you look at this guy at 19 years old, he's joining a team that last year drafted Taylor Hendricks and Kon George.

This is a very team.

Those two picks are still 20 years old and then you got Cody Williams coming in transition and spot ups, he was 80th percentile, meaning best 20% in college basketball in transition and spot ups.

This is a great pick for the Utah Jazz that are in a rebuild and cane.

George and Taylor Hendrix.

They're gonna love playing with this based on everything you guys are describing about him.

He fits how the Jazz already play and move.

They were second in the league last year in their offensive rebounding percentage.

Not because they had some big cornerstone rebounders.

They didn't have Zack Edie down there KP.

They didn't have no side down there, but what they had is a lot of movement in their offense.

A lot of fluidity.

So they were tough to box out, it was moving targets.

He'll be able to play that way, play the other end as well.

I like to pick.

All right, I like the versatility.

What we're hearing from this guy sounds like Cody Williams has a good, really good pickup out on the west coast.
