I, like every other Sonos user, lost access to my beloved local music library curated from my personal “hard copy” musical collection and playlists when the new app was released. However, I was a lot better of that most because I had an old iPad with the “old” S2 app which was still able to play from my library. Every time it offered to update I refused point blank for that very reason.Today however it appears that a device update has rendered the old app useless because it is now no longer able to control my Sonos speakers. I consider this an almost underhand and sneaky way to “force” me to use an app which no longer serves the purpose I originally intended it for and renders my expensive speakers a lot less attractive than they were.A fix for this was hinted at being available “mid June” but still no sign. PLEASE, PLEASE, when will this be fixed? And if the answer really is never, please come clean so I can attempt to offload my speakers on to someone who doesn’t need it want the
Anyone else having this issue with the new Sonos App? I have Sonos Playlists from different services, Spotify, Apple, Amazon, Slacker and they used to all play at the same volume level. Yesterday, I was playing music for a pool party and the volume was way loud with some songs and other way quiet. First time I’ve had this issue but it was extremely annoying. Guest were displeased, and neighbors likely offended. Had to keep modifying the volume every two or three songs. Kinda made Sonos unusable. Two questionsanyone else having this issue? Did the old S2 app have a Volume Normalization? (think I remember that but don’t have access to S2 anymore).
The new Sonas app is awful. It typically will not connect to music even when the music is playing, hence I cannot switch the music of,but worst problem is trying to control the volumes of the various sonas speakers. Even when I adjust the volume in the app it mysteriously changes itself back to the other setting.trying to adjust volumes is almost impossible and VERY VERY frustrating.fthis app should not have been released in such a dismal and poor state. It really damages Sonas reputation and brand.when will these problems be fixed..?
When I go to add the voice assistant. Alexa tries to connect to Amazon but won't connect. It allows me to connect to Google. But I need Amazon Alexa because all my music is there.
I am writing to express my frustration and disappointment with the latest update of your app. Since the update, I have encountered numerous issues that have severely disrupted my experience:Speaker Detection Issues: The app intermittently fails to detect my speakers. They appear and disappear at random, making it impossible to manage them effectively. Grouping Problems: When I try to split the music in one room from the group, the remaining speakers stop working and cannot be re-grouped. This has rendered the multi-room functionality unusable. Playback Failures: None of the speakers will play music after attempting to manage them through the app. App Connectivity: The app frequently loses connection with the speakers and is unable to detect them again.Moreover, the support wait times are exceedingly long, often over 70 minutes, and the chat support has not been helpful in resolving these issues. This situation is unacceptable and has caused significant inconvenience.I urge you to provi
Is it just me that can not get this new App to download
I have a Roam speaker and hav had issues with it from day one. It will not stay connected to my system so I have to add it back in every time I try and use it, and when I say try and use it after adding it back in to the system the audio never works. It says it is okay but there is no sound from this speaker. Frustrating to say the least
HiI have a Sonos Beam Gen2, it is connec using HDMI ARC to my Samsung 65”. It has been working perfect for 1 year.The last month it suddently stop playing sound from the Samsung TV. The LED on the Sonos turns red.When i restart both Sonos and TV it can play again but often stops after 15-20 minutes again.I have tried:Chaning HDMI cable Factory reset Beam Gen2 Checked for newer firmware on both Beam Gen2 and TV. No newer softwareAny suggestions on what to do or is it a softare/hardware error on the Beam Gen2? It is still under warranty,Please let me know what is best to do
My SONOS App screen has frozen apart from the status window which refreshes at the bottom my IPhone screen. The radio still plays on my speakers when manually selected. How do I reset the App to regain control?This is a recent problem and I have not changed anything on my SONOS or IPhone.
My Play 3 lost power last night and won’t connect to the network. I’ve-rebooted the router and the pc-uninstalled and reinstalled the s2 controller-the app shows the Play 3 “Not connected”, but is still visible in the system-I get a flashing orange led when i press the “Pause” button
Today I successfully updated to the latest 16.3 Firmware and Windows Desktop Controller.I subsequently performed an “Update Music Library Now” from the 16.3 Windows Desktop Controller.Now any Sonos Controller (including SonoPhone, SonoPad) show multiple entries for each compilation album when viewing Albums.Just an example shown below... Does anyone else have this issue?Ross.
Under the Albums tab, some albums contain all of the songs in the album and for other albums all songs are displayed as separate albums.
Hi.love the product, cannot fault the quality of sound, at all.BIG problem. New app. SONOS, WTF?not compatible with mesh networks at all. I had sky Wi-Fi before, slight drag issues, but nothing dramatic. Eero mesh? Doesn’t like it at all.why am I wasting my words? You might actually care for consumers that may consume you, if you do not fix it?end.
