Grand Seiko watches are made from start to finish completely in-house. It is even one of the few places that grows its own quartz crystals for use in their 9F movements. This completely in-house watchmaker was not well known outside of Japan until 2017, when it started to market itself to the world. Since then, the watch world has become familiar with their Zaratsu polishing and Seasons Collections. The dial work and polishing on a Grand Seiko will impress even the most hardened watch enthusiast. Every watch is assembled entirely by one watchmaker, forgoing the assembly line production for a more traditional approach.
