Fun fact: Dark Souls 2 players overwhelmingly choose teamwork over confrontation in multiplayer encounters.

Examining statistics provided by From Software, IGN discovered that 73.1% of Dark Souls 2 player interactions are cooperative, while only 26.9% stem from PvP invasions. Judging from data drawn from over 1.7 million excursions, players are more than two and a half times more likely to lend a helping hand than to turn against one another.

The legendary difficulty of Dark Souls boss encounters is likely one contributing factor to this community benevolence, as many players choose to team up against the toughest enemies. The data behind these figures is accurate up to September 22, 2014. We're got more amazing facts coming soon, so be sure to check IGN for Dark Souls 2 news.
