Nishat Shahriyar, a.k.a. “Nish,” is a writer by passion and a digital marketer by choice. He has a vast interest in tech, the creator economy, and the WordPress community. A profound reader, he loves to meet new people, learn new things, and explore new ideas. When he is not writing or working, he enjoys spending time with his family.

WordPress Origin Story

I first started using WordPress in 2007. I can remember joining WP and installing my first WordPress website in a free host! From then on, I used WordPress to build my passion sites, personal sites, affiliate websites, sites for clients and now product websites.
I first started using WordPress in 2007. I remember joining WP and installing my first WordPress website on a free host! Since then, I have used WordPress to build passion sites, personal sites, affiliate websites, sites for clients, and now product websites.

I became involved with the WordPress community very recently. When I joined AuthLab in 2021, my interest in WordPress Meetup & WordCamp increased. I have attended 2 WordCamp Sylhet events so far and hope to attend WordCamp Asia and other regional WordCamps in the coming years.

I am also taking steps to contribute more to the Make WordPress team, and with my WordPress-focused newsletter – Weekly WPMore.
I was involved with the WordPress community very recently. When I joined AuthLab in 2021, my interest for WordCamp increased. I joined 2 WordCamp Sylhet so far, hope to attend WordCamp Asia & other regional WordCamps coming years.
