My issue with this series is probably based on the voice acting. It felt flat and cliche. What i mean by that is these are voices that i feel are heard in most of the new anime out there. It doesnt feel like there are any variaty out there in the world of anime, or if there is they are not trying to have any variations. Part of the reason for even purchasing this series was so i could dive into nostalgia and go back into a part of my childhood where i was waiting for 7 am ride to school and remember watching this show. I had all these ideas of what i thought my sailor scouts would sound like but it was like trying to have sex when you are too drunk to do anything.... It wasn't working. I don't remember what episode i stopped at but i just could not continue to listen to the horrible sounds emanating from characters i used to enjoy watching. On a more positive note i did enjoy the new art style it was very nice and helped me get as far in the series as i did.

I love the newly revamped Sailor Moon because it follows the manga extremely well. Some of my issues with the original Sailor Moon were based around the fact that there we TONS of filler episodes and there was not really a lot of character progression. This series does not have tons of filler content, though it does seem like they stretch the final battles of each season out for four to five episodes and it feels never ending. I generally like the voice actor choices, but I feel like the way the voices are presented could be a bit better. One of my biggest issues with the overall series is the "cheesy" sounding attacks, but this really can't be helped if you are following the original manga. The way Sailor Moon's personality progresses as well as the romantic aspect between Usagi and Mamo are done wonderfully. As an avid Sailor Moon fan, I am absolutely thrilled with this series and the good definitely outweighs the negatives. I'm a little nervous to see what Viz does with the next season, as it is stated that it will be two movies rather than a episodic season. I hope that they don't slack on content or skip over parts of the manga in order to fit the show into 90 minute movies.
