About this ebook

"Sexy and suspenseful, Kiss Marry Kill is a compulsively great read from first page to last!" - Katee Robert, New York Times Bestselling author

Five years ago they fell in love after one whirlwind summer. Now she's an internationally famous musician and he's officially out of the military, but when their worlds collide, can they keep things strictly professional? Sweet, thrilling, emotional, and sexy, fall in love with Megan and Jax in
USA Today bestseller Sidney Halston's Kiss Marry Kill.

He's been chasing a memory . . .
It was just supposed to be a regular Thursday afternoon...and then he saw her. Sitting in seat L214, one seat over from his at the baseball game, right next to her douche of a soon-to-be-ex-boyfriend. An impromptu kiss for the kiss cam, and Jax knew his life would never be the same. Five years and a tour in Afghanistan later, Jax is back stateside running his own private security firm, Iron-Clad, with his best friend. He isn't the man he used to be... but Megan isn't the sexy and sweet, though sheltered, twenty-two-year-old he left behind, either. And she's in trouble.

...but now they're on the run.
Megan Cruz has made something of herself. She’s turned her dreams of pop stardom into a reality. But when a deadly stalker breaks into her home claiming to be her number-one fan, the only person she can turn to is the boy who got away. But Jax isn’t the same carefree charmer who stole her heart, then broke it when he joined the military. This man is seductive, hard, guarded. And he'll do anything to protect what's his.

"I rooted for this couple right from their hysterical meet-cute! This hot, overprotective action hero will leave you swooning.” - Tessa Bailey, New York Times Bestselling author

A chance encounter at a baseball game that leads to a weekend of passion has stayed with Jax for the last 5 years. The woman that haunts his memories is now a huge pop star and apparently has a stalker who's actions are escalating to deadly. Never one to sit on the sidelines, Jax and his security team jump in to help. Megan hasn't forgotten Jax either and she can't believe her good fortune when he comes to her aide after a nerve shattering incident with her stalker. Their reunion brings back all the old feelings and the attraction flares to life. Jax needs to stay focused though. It could mean life or death for Megan. This is a great blend of romance and suspense with enough action to keep you on the edge of your seat while giving you the full story on their developing relationship. I thought he flashbacks to the past took away from the story a bit. While it was nice to know the whole story I don't think we needed quite so much of the past. Since that is really my only complaint about the book I will definitely be recommending this one to everyone.

** spoiler alert ** Kiss Marry Kill is the first book in the Iron Clad Security series. Book one is Jackson "Jax" Irons and Megan Cruz's story. I'd rate this book 3.75 stars. I know a weird amount and here's why. The book starts in the middle of a very intense scene and then fizzles out and the book was repetitive and hard to get through the first half of the book. At the 50% mark in the book is where is starts to pick up and things get more interesting. Which is why I rated the book the way I did. Jax was home on leave from the USMC before he deployed when he met Megan at a Marlins baseball game. Megan was there with her inattentive boyfriend who couldn't be bothered to pay attention to her or the game. When the kiss cam came their way, not once but twice her boyfriend humiliated her by refusing to kiss her. So when it comes around, Jax feels for the girl and kisses her. They spent four incredible days together before they each went their own ways. Fast forward five years later when Jax is sitting in a bar drowning his sorrows to his surprise is the girl he fell in love with in the middle of a crisis at her home with a stalker. The second half of the book picks up tremendously, but if you are looking for a romantic suspense, this falls a little shy IMO. For myself, it was kind of predictable, but the second half was still a good read. I was able to breeze through the second half, and did enjoy it. I wasn't a big fan of the way the flashbacks were done, it was confusing at times. Overall the book was good, and if you have trouble with the first half, try to push through, it will be worth it, interesting start to a new series. Am looking forward to the next book which looks to be Annie and Rocco's story....

Megan and Jax met at a baseball game five years ago. After stepping in when her jerk of boyfriend wouldn't kiss her on the kisscam, Megan and Jax have a whirlwind four days together before he deploys and she starts law school. Their fire burned hot but the timing was terrible so they parted ways and moved on with their lives. After those amazing four days, Megan decides to follow her dreams of being a pop star. Fast forward to the present and Jax is home but not the same man who was deployed. He experienced a lot of loss, was injured, and is a far cry from the carefree, happy man who left. When he sees on the news that Megan is in danger from a stalker, he knows that he has to do whatever he can to protect her. But the fire is still burning hot. Will he be able to protect her and resist the attraction that still exists? I loved Jax and Megan. After those four days together, she gathered the courage to go after her dreams, not the dreams that were set by her family. And even after all of this time, she's still standing up for herself and her choices. I also loved how she used Jax's same methods to get her to loosen up when she met him after they reconnected. She knows that he's different but believes that the guy she knew is still there. Jax was the best: a loyal friend, a fierce protector, a loving man. He gave 100% to everything. They are perfect for each other. I'm loving the start of this series and I'm looking forward to what comes next for the Iron Clad crew
