  • ☀️Out of office 🦋 We are closing down for a summer break in July - to recharge, absorb and reflect. And what a half year it has been! It feels like we have been the centre of a massive whirlwind. We are thankful for all the wonderful people we have met and worked with - and more than proud of what our mini-team has achieved in a short amount of time. This is just a little glimpse: 🌿 We organized a successful summit, gathering around 300 change makers across roles and industries.     🌱 We signed strategic partnership agreements with 4 new partners - EY, Capgemini, Ignite and Position Green. 🌟 We gained two new leading members - Storebrand and Capgemini, and quite a few new members who share our vision of creating a positive future through business. ✨ We gathered 1250 people altogether - through 18 big and small events: conferences, member meetings, community gatherings and webinars, covering topics from sustainable business model innovation to sustainable procurement, sustainability leadership, reporting with impact and much more.   🚀 We are ready to launch our new collaborative innovation initiative - Action for Innovation - together with Capgemini. 👩👩👧👦 We onboarded, guided and offboarded two amazing interns, who now have landed their first grown-up jobs within the sustainability space. 💙 We have redefined ourselves - supported by a new and fresh visual identity that feels like us - developed by a brilliant team at Manyone (Well - it is not fully implemented yet, but on its’ way).  🍀 We have established a very competent expert group who will take lead on our our Sustainable Procurement activities - consisting of Ingrid Håvik, Randi Daltveit, Edit K. and Sigbjørn Nome. 🌏 We are finalising the program for “The Future We Choose” on September 10 - a conference by BI Norwegian Business School, Abelia and Sustainability Hub Norway (S-HUB). And we have a lot more planned for the autumn. Stay tuned! 🏖 🏞 But first - we will plunge into the water, walk mountains, read, relax and recharge our batteries with our loved ones 🌸 ❤️ Ida Aandal Røijen Katrine Sundbye Andreas Friis #OutOfOffice ☀️ Have a great July - see you in August ☀️

💡 Positive futures call for vision, leadership, and collaboration.  At the recent S-HUB Summit leaders from various fields converged to address the pressing need to reimagine business models and radically transform business practices to assure a liveable future. They echoed the importance of collective action and the transformative power of organisations like S-HUB in driving meaningful change. 🌱 "System change is a team sport," states Kees Klomp. The imperative of fostering a sustainable future demands collaboration and solidarity. "You need to find like-minded people, bond, and become a force of good." Katrine Sundbye echoes this: "We are past the point where we can go on with business as usual. It’s a cross-disciplinary challenge… and we really need all different perspectives to solve the major issues that we are facing." "It's about system innovation, where we all have to contribute and cooperate," Tarje Bjørgum emphasises. Antony Upward: "We need a hopeful vision for the future. Something that takes us beyond sustainability as usual." His remarks underscore the necessity of optimism in driving transformative change. “What I’m finding really powerful is that S-HUB is showing leadership”, he states, showcasing the importance of organisations gathering and facilitating collaboration to create change. "If you have a vision that you can convey to people, you’re halfway there," Inger Stensaker remarks. Events such as the Summit showcase the need for organisations to gather people from all fields to change the system. S-HUB aims to serve as a crucial platform for fostering dialogue, forging connections, and catalysing change. Let's continue to engage, innovate, and inspire as we navigate towards a positive future together. 💪 Interested in knowing more about S-HUB and how our networks can contribute to your business’ sustainable journey? If you chose one sustainability conference to attend, the yearly Sustainability Hub Norway (S-HUB) Summit is the one! 🏹 This year I bring back home to Investinor, the latest within sustainability forward thinking, possibilities, challenges and a lot of new and knowledgeable people in our network 🏋♀️ I also got to be part of two panel discussions: 🌟 Leadership & sustainability, together with: o  Liv Monica Stubholt who highlighted that sustainability is easy – if you’re not serious about it! Wicked solutions need wicked people, also in the boards 🤷♀️ o  Inger Stensaker who talked about the importance of the board’s strategic role and competence within an increasing range of different areas 🎶 o  I highlighted that in order to accomplish impactful progress on sustainability for SMEs, leaders must dear to simplify & prioritize based on materiality ⚖ 📈 Strategy, materiality & financial performance, where my main point was: o  The strategic implementation of materiality will be extremely important going forward – but this is not aligned from the SME stakeholder’s side. This leads to inefficiency, misallocation of resources and low progress on the measures that really have the most impact ⚖ As a proud investor, two of Investinor’s investments were also on stage: -         Maria de Perlinghi representing the impact investor, Norselab – highlighting the importance of directing more capital towards impact investing to tackle real sustainability challenges 🌍 -         Sigbjørn Nome from Ignite – highlighting the need to integrate environmental and social aspects into a new and more holistic way of doing procurement 🕹 Also, many other highlights, but some of them were: -        Mai Lawson Oldgard: “There is no transition without transmission” -         Ulrich Penitz’s introduction of triple (!) materiality and context-based sustainability assessments -         Daniel Aronson’s point on how we can take better decision by quantifying a company’s cost of NOaction -         Karl Thomas Reinertsen reminding us that we now are undergoing a dual interlinked transition; digital + sustainability (the ECO-digital ERA) -         EY’s Four Futures; an AI-generated and science-based experience that took us on a journey into radically altered futures of 2050, each the outcome of the different sustainability pathways open to businesses and policymakers today. A truly frightening, touching, and educational experience, that should be mandatory for everyone. 📷 Photos by Alex Asensi (No. 1 and 2) Thank you to Sustainability Hub Norway (S-HUB) for gathering so many knowledgeable people, Andreas Friis, Katrine Sundbye and the rest of the S-HUB team 🏆

Co-founder and ex-CEO of FJONG | Board member | E24 ledertalent | Årets gründerkvinne | Top 50 women in Norwegian tech | Public speaker |
