After yesterday's Paris 2024 opening ceremony, Mammoet looks back to 2006, when we lifted the heaviest sections of the Beijing National Stadium, or 'Bird's Nest'. The venue for the 2008 Olympic Games used 36 kilometers of steel for its unique roof, sections of which - weighing up to 350t - were lifted by Mammoet's CC4800, CC2800 and CC1800 cranes. Bridging the gap in Dallas with the world's only known S-curved, network-tied bridge! A crucial link for regional biking and pedestrian trails, installed overnight by our Mammoet crew. Prior to its installation, the heavily traveled Northaven Trail abruptly halted at the roadway. In order to access the trails on the opposite side of one of Texas’ busiest highways, cyclists and pedestrians had to detour through a dim underpass. The 61-meter (201 foot) bridge was assembled away from its installation location. On the Friday evening of the installation weekend, it was jacked up and loaded onto a pair of double 8-line SPMT trailers, then moved to the edge of the road. The length and width of the bridge required the use of turntables on top of the trailers for added maneuverability. Space constraints? No problem! Watch our FOCUS30 crane assemble vertically, taking up a compact 30m x 40m footprint. With its 2,500t lifting capacity and minimal ground bearing pressure, the crane is ideal for a wide range of lifts. Perfect for those tricky #construction and #maintenance projects where every inch counts. #Mammoet #FOCUS30 #Construction #Innovation #Engineering

A project with a view 👀 Mammoet is supporting the demolition of the old A40 Rhine bridge in Duisburg, Germany. At a height of almost 50m our team installed the Mammoet strand jack system from a man basket. This safely braces the bridge to the pylon and supports the entire bridge on both sides of the Rhine so that the bridge cables can be removed. Our team in Atlanta recently completed phase 1 of an upgrade to the pedestrian bridges at MARTA East Lake Station. These bridges connect the train station to bus stations on either side of the roads, enabling pedestrians to cross the street and reach the train platforms without encountering vehicular traffic. Over the course of two nights, Mammoet's crew successfully removed the old span of the north bridge section and swiftly installed the new one. Mammoet's methods allowed the bridge sections to be replaced more quickly than traditional approaches, with minimal disruption to the train station's operations and the street traffic below. Mammoet transfer strategy shortens load-in/load-out schedule for Moray West offshore wind farm. 60 transition pieces were lifted off the vessel using a LR11350 crawler crane onto a 32-line configuration of SPMT. They were driven to a temporary storage area where pre-installation works could be performed before load-out. More: https://mmoet.me/4bs0p60 #Mammoet #OffshoreWind #Marshaling

Onshore wind turbines are growing as we seek greater returns from renewable power to drive down the cost of energy. In recent years, turbine power outputs have doubled, hub heights have grown by over 50% and rotors now reach 170m in diameter – making installation of these huge structures a considerable challenge. Read about how we help to assemble today's giant turbines: https://mmoet.me/3FHpblN #Mammoet #OnshoreWind #EnergyTransition
