We’re shortlisted for the Finovate 2024 Awards 🎁 This year, more than 130 fintech companies and entrepreneurs made it to the shortlist of the Finovate Awards – a rating of the most inventive, inspiring, and promising names in fintech. Finom is shortlisted in two categories this year: ‘Best Financial Mobile App’ and ‘Best SMB/SME Banking Solution’. Winners will be announced this September at Finovate Fall 2024 in New York. This July, Finom is ready to graduate from the startup kindergarten – we’re turning five 🎉 Since 2019, we’ve been making entrepreneurs’ lives easier, more stable, and simply more enjoyable. We’ve empowered them to grow, scale up, earn more, and spend wisely – and they’ve empowered us in return. Let’s celebrate what we’ve accomplished over these five years and look forward to many more successful years to come!

Who holds the copyright for AI-generated content? How can we ensure ethical AI training? At the moment, AI tools are still in their Wild West stage, and we need to learn how to navigate this complex landscape. Enter the AI Act – a new regulation proposed by the European Union that aims to ensure the ethical development and use of AI systems. Martin van Oyen, Finom’s Head of Legal, has written an article exploring this act’s implications. Our employees love Finom. How do we know that and why are we so sure? Companies normally conduct performance reviews of their teams. But shouldn’t it go both ways? Every quarter, our employees rate their experience with Finom as a company via Culture Amp, one of the leading employee engagement platforms worldwide. Naturally, the survey is 100% anonymous. We measure several indicators, including the most important ones: 📍 Manager Net Promoter Score (mNPS): This quarter, 88% of our employees would recommend their manager to others. 📍 Employee Net Promoter Score (eNPS): 86% of our team would recommend Finom as a great place to work. 📍 Pride: 84% are proud to work at Finom. And best of all, we’re above the industry benchmark on all these factors and many more! As soon as we get the results, we analyze them and create focus groups with leaders and employees of each department. Together, we discuss the results and find ways to integrate their feedback. We’ve already implemented some suggestions from the previous eNPS, such as soundproofing our Cyprus office, launching our first-ever Leadership Program and other educational programs, as well as refining the process and rules for providing IT equipment. We’re always open to positive change and honest dialogue – that’s the only way to make our working environment better, safer, and more productive ❤️

Our €50 million funding round was one of the biggest in the Netherlands in 2024 🎉 As a Dutch startup, it warms our hearts to see that the Netherlands has climbed to 13th place in the world’s most powerful startup ecosystems. We send our greetings to our Dutch colleagues who are making the industry better every day! In 2024, we raised €50 million – an incredible milestone for our company. Turns out, it was one of the biggest funding rounds in the Netherlands this year so far. Silicon Canals - European Technology News ranks us as the 6th largest funding round in the Netherlands for H1 2024.
