Boruto arrives to save Sarada and the other Konoha ninja. Boruto leaves the unconscious Himawari in Konohamaru's care when suddenly, Hidari attacks Boruto. Boruto blows him away, Hidari retreats into one of the laid out Claw Marks. Hidari is shown in an unknown location, on top of a Daihakoten, healing. After healing quickly from presumed Divine Tree roots, he returns behind Sarada and Boruto. As Boruto prepared his Rasengan: "Uzuhiko", Sarada protected Boruto from Hidari's sneak attacks through the Claw Marks. Konohamaru uses Spiralling Barrier to prevent the sneak attack. Boruto explained to Konohamaru the nature of Hidari, revealing how he was a product of Sasuke being devoured by a Claw Grime. Hearing how this related to Moegi, Konohamaru decided to help Boruto. The God Tree summoned several Claw Grimes. Upon Boruto hitting Hidari with his new Rasengan, Kawaki appeared to finish off Hidari, obliterating him. Boruto then discovered Hidari's Thorn Soul Bulb, which he explained can save Sasuke. Suddenly, Jūra sniped Boruto down with a blast and retrieved the bulb, deciding that Boruto must be eliminated as a threat and Kawaki will be preserved for consumption.
