I hope so, that video is inappropriate. I love speculation and fanon but it doesn't belong in an encyclopedia wiki, and definitely not in an article video like this. If that kind of content was entered into the article by a regular editor, it would be quickly removed. Anyone know which staffer made it? Names and info from the new V Jump article for Shinobi Strikers[]

Karma: Evil Feast (楔��悪食, Kāma: Akujiki) - The name for Kawaki's karma absorption ability. Akujiki literally means "evil eating" or "bad food" and refers to eating food that you're not supposed to eat, whether rotten or taboo. Official Bandai Namco translation is "Karma Linchpin (Strange Taste)."

Karma: Ruin Ceremony (楔・滅式, Kāma: Metsushiki) - The name for the ability where Kawaki releases a red energy blast from his Karma, like the one he used to kill Garō. Metsushiki literally means "ruin ceremony" or "destruction ritual." Official Bandai Namco translation is "Karma Linchpin (Ritual Destruction)."

Scientific Ninja Tool: Reverse Scale (科学忍具・逆鱗, Kagaku Ningu: Gekirin) - The name of the attack where Kawaki rushes at his opponent and transforms his right arm into a blade to slash them. Gekirin literally means "reverse scale," referring the inverted scales on a dragon that cause irritation, causing it to go into a rage and kill whoever touched them. Figuratively it means "imperial wrath," referring to the rage of a ruler or superior.

Scientific Ninja Tool "Armor Scales" (科学忍具 “甲鱗”, Kagaku Ningu "Kōrin") - The name of the knuckle knife-shaped blades that Kawaki rips off of his transformed arm. Kōrin literally means "armor scales" or "shell scales."

Scientific Ninja Tool "Scale Fragment" (科学忍具 “鱗片”, Kagaku Ningu "Rinhen") - The name of the knife-shaped shards of shrapnel from Kawaki's transformed arm that he uses as projectiles. "Rinhen" literally means "scale fragment" or simply "scale," referring to individual scales from a scaled animal.

His two Karma abilities both evoke a vaguely religious tone, referring to eating taboo foods and performing a ceremony of destruction. His Scientific Ninja Tool attack and derived tools make heavy use of the word "scale" (鱗, "rin"). The "Armor Scales" and "Scale Fragments" are both also classified as Scientific Ninja Tools, being created from Kawaki's Scientific Ninja Tool (カワキの科学忍具, Kawaki no Kagaku Ningu). From the little I know of the game, some of those might actually just be tools instead of proper attacks, based on what I've seen of how stuff gets listed in the DLC section of the game's official site. The wiki tries to avoid making articles for unnamed jutsu, especially when those jutsu have no unique properties. Kawaki is listed as being able to use fire release and that's the best the wiki is going to do until he uses something with a name. ~Snapper T o 20:06, 15 May 2023 (UTC)

That's Otsutsuki Sensing, Otsutsuki have the ability to sense one another as long as they are in the same dimension. I don't know if that counts as Kawaki being an actual sensor type though. BloodOfTheArchon (talk) 20:01, 27 August 2023 (UTC)

Genin status[]

Isn´t he only a Genin in the anime? Him getting the forhead protector, going to school and it being cut by Boruto by accident is all anime only and the protector was mostly likely destroyed to not create discanon with the manga once it returned to adapting from it. If so then the box should reflect that. The way ranks are entered into infoboxes, we can't add annotations or separate them by media like we do jutsu, only by period, like Part 1 and 2, New Era, and Boruto. This would require making significant changes to infobox code. Anyway, we list things as given. For example, Onoki's age was incorrectly given as 100 in the Boruto anime, even though he's at most around 90. We list that, and point the inconsistency where appropriate, such as trivia.
