About P-LO
Filipino American rapper and producer P-Lo is at the forefront of modern Bay Area hip-hop. • The native of Pinole, California, was heavily influenced by Kanye West’s The College Dropout and NorCal producers Droop-E and Traxmillion. • In 2008, P-Lo cofounded the rap collective HBK (“Heartbreak”) Gang with Iamsu!, Chief and Skipper. The crew also features Sage the Gemini, CJ, Rossi, Dave Steezy, Jay Anthony and Kool John. • P-Lo released his debut mixtape More Bitches, More Gold Chains in 2012. The following year, the Heartbreak Gang dropped their debut mixtape, Gang Forever, on their own HBK Gang label. • Along with rapping, P-Lo has produced songs like Wiz Khalifa’s “Bout Me”; Yo Gotti’s “Act Right”, featuring Jeezy & YG; and Iggy Azalea’s “Go Hard Or Go Home”. • The rapper’s 2017 debut album, More Than Anything, features fellow Bay area natives like G-Eazy, E-40 and Iamsu! It reached the Top 10 of Billboard’s Heatseekers Albums chart.
