The cover star for EA Sports FC 25 appears to have been leaked, with the Ultimate Edition apparently featuring five different players.

After the game’s release date leaked earlier this month, more details have emerged about the next instalment of EA Sports FC (the spiritual successor to FIFA).

Every new game features a different football star on the cover, with last year’s edition, EA Sports FC 24, giving the honour to Manchester City player Erling Haaland.

The cover star for EA Sports FC 25 has now been outed via several leaks, and it’s a somewhat timely pick, as England prepare to face Spain in the Euros 2024 final on Sunday.

According to Twitter account LeanDesign, who has correctly leaked information about FIFA titles in the past, England and Real Madrid player Jude Bellingham will be the cover star for EA Sports FC 25.

This leak has since been corroborated by Insider Gaming, who claim the Ultimate Edition cover will feature five different football stars, both past and present. These are (from left to right) Gianluigi Buffon, Aitana Bonmati, Jude Bellingham, Zidane, and David Beckham, who are surrounded by different championship trophies.

While this has yet to be officially revealed, the leak stems from sources who claim to have seen the game’s cover, so an official announcement will likely be made soon.

According to prior leaks, EA Sports FC 25 will be released on September 27. If you buy the more expensive Ultimate Edition, however, you’ll be able to play the game seven days early from September 20.

EA Play subscribers will also apparently get early access to EA Sports FC 25 via a 10-hour trial, which has become the norm for the service.

Last year’s game was the first instalment in the series without the FIFA branding, EA refused to pay for the increasingly more expensive licence. Despite the name change though, EA Sports FC 24 still became a sales juggernaut.

According to rumours, FIFA has signed a new deal with Take-Two, for a new game series, but this is still yet to be confirmed.
