How has your family & heritage shaped your perspective and influenced your life?
Being Mexican American, family means everything to us!
In my family, although it’s a lot of us, we make sure that we all stay connected even though we may be a border away.
My family has taught me that being there for each other is one of the best memories we can create together. At my family gatherings all we ever talk about is those memories.
As a Mexican American Millennial, I can’t wait to share my heritage and traditions with the future generations.

- One of my favorite Mariachi songs is called “El Cascabel” by Mariachi Vargas de Tecalitlán.
