With Prime Day just a couple of weeks away, retailers are feeling the pressure to drop their prices and compete. Even Best Buy is throwing its hat into the ring with hefty discounts on everything from appliances to electronics, including a $220 price cut on the iPad Air (5th gen). Of course, these retailers are labeling these sales as 4th of July specials, but with Prime Day leering, it’s pretty clear what’s going on here. But a deal’s a deal, and we’re here for the savings.

As of June 28, the Apple iPad Air (5th gen) is available at Best Buy for just $529.99, down from $749.99. That’s $220 off the original listing price and the lowest price we’ve seen for this model since May 30, when it was available on Amazon for $549.99.

With a 10.9-inch liquid retina display, an M1 chip, and 256GB of storage, this tablet is ideal for students, professionals, or anyone who’s always on the go. It has a 12MP wide camera, a 12MP ultra-wide front camera, and all-day battery life. It’s also compatible with the Apple Pencil (2nd gen) and Magic Keyboard, so you can use it as a mini laptop if you’re in a pinch.
