Bill Bishop was a member of the Teen Brigade, a group of friends around Rick Jones. He was instructed by Rick Jones to use the Fantastic Four's special wave length in order to contact them, asking for help to handle Hulk.^[2]

Willie, like Rick Jones and the rest of the Teen Brigade, was trapped by Count Nefaria in his castle atop the New Jersey Palisades. They were all eventually saved by Captain America when the Avenger broke into the building.^[3]
