In the year 1988, the galaxy witnessed a pivotal moment as the Ravagers, led by their enigmatic leader, transported the young Peter Quill to Ego, a celestial being whose grand ambitions spanned the vast expanse of the universe. Ego implored Quill to join him in his quest for expansion, planting seeds of persuasion within the young man's impressionable mind.
Six months passed, marked by a trail of devastation left in Quill's wake as he aided Ego in ravaging numerous worlds across the cosmos. However, the echoes of his actions reverberated back to Earth, stirring Peggy Carter and Howard Stark into action. Together, they assembled a formidable team drawn from diverse corners of the world. The eclectic team comprised the brilliant mind of Bill Foster, the revered King T'Chaka of Wakanda, the enigmatic Bucky Barnes, the esteemed Dr. Wendy Lawson, and a reluctant Hank Pym, who brought along his daughter, the resolute Hope van Dyne.
Amidst the looming threat posed by Quill's unchecked powers, a clash erupted on Coney Island, where the team engaged in a desperate struggle to detain the wayward Quill. Thor, drawn by the escalating conflict, lent his formidable aid in the capture. However, as the team deliberated their next course of action, a turn of events saw Van Dyne unexpectedly freeing Quill. Seizing the opportunity, Quill embarked on a journey to Missouri, a move that set in motion a chain of fateful encounters.
