Pyro was one of the members of the Brotherhood of Evil Mutants who attacked the Muir Research Institute in search for Doctor Moira Kinross. Pyro hung around as Destiny interrogated Moira about her mutant ability of reincarnation. Destiny didn't like the fact that Moira was betraying her own kind, and being a precog gave her insight into how many lives Moira was going to live.

Pyro was then ordered to set Moira's body on fire which caused the flames to slowly burn her to death allowing her to be reborn again with the knowledge obtained from Destiny about protecting her people instead of trying to eliminate them. Eventually Pyro's flame became strong enough to destroy the entire facility and the people within.^[1]

• Pyro refers to Destiny as "mother", despite there being no known familial connection between them. It is possible that Destiny adopted and raised Pyro in this timeline.
