Kraven was hired by J. Jonah Jameson to kill Spider-Man. Infiltrating Spider-Man's employees, Kraven snuck into a training session and slashed Spider-Man with poison-tipped claws. However, Daredevil was present and managed to save Spider-Man while Kraven managed to escape.
