A protected page is one that can only be edited by an administrator.

There are very few reasons a page would be protected, they are as listed:

• The page is being consistently vandalized.
• The page is a mission-critical project page.
• It is a page that requires no updating.

As you can see, we are very open about anyone editing almost anything. Please have the courtesy to post only information which you know to be true, objective, and relevant to Marvel Comics content.
