The Kraawl acted as the mount for Queen Kala. While the Thing was searching for the Mole Man in Subterranea, he encountered Kala chanting to Kraawl. Thing mistakenly believed that Kraawl posed a threat to Kala and immediately attacked it. Kraawl withstood Thing's initial blow and coiled his long body around him. Thing got in two more blows, which finally knocked Kraawl out.^[1]

Superhuman Strength: Kraawl is strong enough to restrain Thing by coiling around him.

Superhuman Durability: Kraawl could withstand a blow from Thing, though he was knocked from successive blows.

While Kraawl's skin is green in Fantastic Four #127, his skin is portrayed as a dark brown on the comic's cover.
