David Munroe II was born to an unknown father and to a mother who became drug addicted and eventually died from HIV. David lived with his grandparents. He eventually met his cousin Storm when she visited them as part of her family research.^[2] They were all invited to her wedding to King T'Challa in Wakanda.^[3]
