The Man with the Peacock Tattoo is a clone of Genegineer, one of many that Genegineer himself created and bred as fodder for his experiments. After an explosion in the lab left him with brutal facial scars, this young clone managed to escape to freedom. Desiring revenge on Genegineer, he was denied an opportunity to kill him when Cameron Hodge did so. The Man with the Peacock Tattoo then decided that the best revenge would be to complete what Genegineer failed to do for all his life: created a perfect mutant hybrid specimen. He eventually emerged as the head of XENO, an organization that opposed the new nation of Krakoa.^[1]
