History
Anya was born to Max and Magda Eisenhardt, later changed to "Erik Magnus Lehnsherr" and "Magda Lehnsherr", but her life was cut short when she died in a fire. With a mob preventing Erik from saving her, Anya perished and her father's mutant powers killed everyone in the city of Vinnytsia in revenge. Terrified by her husband's powers and overwhelmed by the tragedy, Magda fled, as her husband called out to her to help him bury their child.[3] While attempting to bury her body, Erik was assaulted, by more soldiers, after hearing what he had done. After being shot in the head, Erik forced the soldiers to turn their own guns on themselves.[4]
Many decades later mutants established the nation of Krakoa and Scarlet Witch created the Waiting Room to make it possible to resurrect all mutants in history, even those who hadn't yet activated their power at the time of death. Magneto had hoped what Anya was such mutant and he would be able to bring her back. Unfortunately, it turned out what Anya was a human all along and couldn't be resurrected.[2]Notes
- Anya has only appeared in flashbacks, most showing her death.
- She was named after her maternal grandmother.[5]
