Kicking off the new year with a new meeting schedule and notes for both meetings combined into one!

New Meeting Schedule
The Hosting A web hosting service is a type of Internet hosting service that allows individuals and organizations to make their website accessible via the World Wide Web. team meetings are now on the same UTC day (Wednesday) — with one at 0900 UTC and one at 1800 UTC.
The team will try the new times out as discussions continue. Thoughts that have been voiced so far are:
- 0900 UTC May be too late in the day for the APAC time zone.
- Because this is early in the day in the EU, 0900 may also not be a good time for folks who are starting their work day during that hour.
Team Check-In
Checking in with the team at the start of the new year, some interesting projects were shared!
@javiercasares shared that he’s been working on hosting and contribution tutorials in Spanish.
@mikeschroder asked if folks would find official versions of the handbook in other languages useful.
@mazeheld mentioned working on an article on “how to run multiple instances of the unit tests on several setups for hosts”, also bringing up that “unless you register a different user for every env only the last run test result will be listed on the make.wordpress.org host test results”. @mikeschroder opened an issue for this.
@xkon shared an example script for implementing the distributed hosting tests! Thanks!
@mikeschroder mentioned that he’d “love to be able to handle multiple submissions per host”.
The test runners can be found here and the plugin A plugin is a piece of software containing a group of functions that can be added to a WordPress website. They can extend functionality or add new features to your WordPress websites. WordPress plugins are written in the PHP programming language and integrate seamlessly with WordPress. These can be free in the WordPress.org Plugin Directory or can be cost-based plugin from a third-party. can be found here.
On-Boarding!
The Hosting team is discussing improvements on team on-boarding.
@mikeschroder mentioned distributed automated testing documentation is “missing some examples of how it might work on a real system”.
@javiercasares suggested that a list of functions the Hosting team serves be created.
@mikeschroder requested that if anyone has real life examples to help support documentation improvements that they share them, and pointed out this GitHub issue.
