  With the new read more blocks there’s nothing in the emails anyway, it makes searching useless. If the issue is the aesthetics of the main Make blog page would it make more sense to file a ticket to set them to display excerpts instead or make the full view optional?
  
  There’s a very real reduction in usability and functionality, as well as poorer aesthetics for those reading via email. The “↓ Updates from design” part also lacks any semantics and isn’t a heading so there are accessibilityAccessibility Accessibility (commonly shortened to a11y) refers to the design of products, devices, services, or environments for people with disabilities. The concept of accessible design ensures both “direct access” (i.e. unassisted) and “indirect access” meaning compatibility with a person’s assistive technology (for example, computer screen readers).     The problem to solve is that the updates are very long posts, and they become very dominant in the overall blog, reducing the discoverability of every other post in the index template.
    
    It sounds like for your particular use case, you prefer to stay inside the email.
