Review

Stay True is a beautifully written, well-crafted book. It’s poetic without being long-winded, has the right mix of storytelling and thinking, and really lets you get to know Hua and his friends. I really enjoyed reading it – the discussion about the Taiwanese-American immigrant experience that steers clear of trops, the inner life of someone finding their identity while going to college. It’s funny, sad, meaningful, and very readable. A faster reader than me could probably finish it in a weekend.
