Re: [Step 5.5] Request to promote Dutch WCAG2.2 CAT to Authorized Translation

Beste lezers,

Tijdens de publieke reviewperiode van de Nederlandse �Candidate� versie van WCAG2.2 hebben we slechts een klein aantal opmerkingen ontvangen. Die opmerkingen kwamen binnen via de mailinglijst [1]. Het ging vooral om �typos� en foutjes in de paginacode. Die zijn allemaal aangepast. Het gaat om aanpassingen zoals:


  *   Interne links en linknamen � aangepast
  *   Missende �anchors� en andere minimale (pagina)code fouten � aangepast
  *   Vergeten stukje vertaling � aangepast
  *   Typefouten en minimale tekstuele opmerkingen - aangepast

Omdat het om kleine aanpassingen ging is besloten om de stakeholders te vragen of ze akkoord gaan met de vertaling. Dat is gebeurd en totaal hebben 29 deelnemers aangegeven dat ze het document hebben bekeken en dat ze het een accurate vertaling vinden.

Op basis van bovenstaande hebben we W3C gevraagd om de Candidate Authorized Translation (CAT) [2] de status van Authorized Translation te geven (stap 6.3 in het W3C vertaalproces) [3].

English version sent earlier:

During the public review period of the Dutch Candidate Authorized Translation of WCAG2.2 we received only a few comments in the mailing list [1], mostly typos and minor issues in the pagecode of the CAT [2]. Based on the comments received we do not consider a new round necessary and propose to move to step 6.3 of the Translation Policy [3].

We addressed all comments and made according minor changes to the CAT like:

  *   internal links and linknames - repaired
  *   anchors missing and other minor (page)code errors - repaired
  *   forgotten translation - repaired
  *   typos and minor textual remarks - repaired

After addressing the comments, we sent an email to the stakeholders requesting them to review the document. In total, 29 stakeholders have sent an email to the mailing list confirming that they have in fact reviewed the document, and that they consider it to be an accurate translation.

Based on the above, we would like to ask W3C to promote the CAT to the status of Authorized Translation (step 6.3 in the translation policy).
