Margery F. Masinter

Margery F. Masinter of White Plains, New York, is a Washington, DC, native and graduate of Connecticut College, holds a Master’s Degree in the History of Decorative Arts from the Cooper-Hewitt National Design Museum/Parsons School of Design. She is an active special projects volunteer in both the Cooper-Hewitt Library and the Drawings and Prints Department. She is a former trustee of several arts and educational institutions in New York City, Westchester Country and Jackson, Wyoming. Her professional and community experience has centered on public relations and fundraising. Her husband Edgar is a member of the Smithsonian National Board. Recently she worked closely with the Smithsonian Center for Education and Museum Studies (SCEMS) in the creation and publication of The Grandparents’ Guide to the Smithsonian (2006).
