Juliane K. Bailey of New Milton, Connecticut, and Washington, D.C. has been an organizational consultant whose practice focused on companies in fields ranging from financial services and healthcare to advertising and travel/leisure. She has also consulted for a number of not-for-profit institutions in both New York City and the Washington D.C. area, including the Latino Student Fund and the National Alliance for the Mentally Ill (NAMI). She has served as Vice Chair of the Board for the East Harlem Tutorial Program, where she both created and secured private sector funding for such after-school programs as the teen-agers’ award-winning Media Workshop and Close the Gap!, a computer-access program for East Harlem’s elementary and high school students. Additionally, she has served as a member of the committee for the New York City-based Alvin Ailey American Dance Center. At present, she divides her time between Washington, DC and Litchfield County, Connecticut, where she designs and implements campaigns to raise public and private funding for open space and endangered farmland preservation initiatives.
