Listen to RadioACTive weeknights at 6pm

RadioACTive is a show for grassroots activists, community builders, punk rock farmers, and DIY makers and musicians. If that sounds like you or someone you know, then email at radioactive@krcl.org. Better yet, send us a voicememo and you just may end up on the show! Coming up next on RadioACTive:

Monday, July 29: It’s RadioACTive Pop! Temma Martin of Operation Population and veterinarian Dr. Jessica Love on animal welfare, especially during these dog days of summer. Plus, 'Second-Class Saints' author Matthew Harris, and Meet Your Maker, a spotlight on the artists at this year’s Craft Lake City DIY Fest.

Tuesday, July 30: Poetry Is Still Wanted Here: Utah Poet Rob Carney curates a great lineup of local poets who will share their work and homework. Carney asked them to write something new for RadioACTive. Plus, Salt Lake News Guild's Robert Gehrke and Emily Anderson Stern with an update on union efforts at The Salt Lake Tribune.

Wednesday, July 31: Japanese director Hideaki Ito is headed to Utah to screen his new documentary, Silent Fallout. Utah Downwinder Mary Dickson joins us for a preview. Utah Campaign to Abolish Weapons with a "Peaceful Picket." Plus, Utah News Dispatch Reporter Kyle Dunphey on the Beehive State's fentanyl problem.

Thursday, Aug. 1: RadioACTive, the Talanoa Way, with Stephanie Mahina, dives deep into the 12th Annual Utah Pacific Island Heritage Month. Special guest: Ivoni Nash, host of KRCL’s Tala Koula and Program Director at the National Tongan American Society. And it's 801 Day, so we'll feature local music during the show.

Friday, Aug. 2: Punk Rock Farmer Friday brings you more true tales of the agrihood with Utah Valley Permaculture and The Bug Lady (NHMU's annual BUGfest is Aug. 10-11 -- and we'll give away some tickets), and homegrown music from Whisperhawk.
