Founded way back in 2002, we bootstrapped it to profitability so we're completely independent. We're headquartered in Mountain View, California in a funky building with jaw-dropping photos on every wall. We’re an awesome mix of science and art, creativity and technology, brain and heart. We help photographers at all levels create beautiful online homes to protect, share, and sell their photos. We have a huge, loyal following in the industry from some of the best in the business and our customers love us.

Artist in Residence

We eat, sleep, and breathe photography around here. We love it. So we started the SmugMug Artist in Residency program to bring some of the most creative, passionate, and talented photographers to our office to teach us their craft, share their experience, and generally geek out over photography.
