ISD Every year I spend an entire month in Ireland. This time it was last May. When I was back home a week, I stumbled onto this album and I bought it instantly. Thank you so much for bringing a piece of Ireland to Belgium! Every track brings back lovely memories but track 1 is exactly the sound I woke up with every single day the last time I was there, so… Favorite track: Summer on the Bog.

ailbhetheoracle Saw Sean first on Tommy Tiernan show, it was an emotional watch to see someone with such a beautiful passion remind us (to quote W.B. Yeats) ‘the world is full of magical things, patiently waiting for our senses to grow sharper.’ I watched ‘Birdsong’ and felt sad for the things our grandchildren won’t get to enjoy but more importantly I felt the hope for the beauty it’s not too late to share with our children. Lough Ennell murmuration is on the Christmas gift list for them this year. Thank you

An album of Irish wild soundscapes, recorded in a variety of habitats, free from sources of anthropogenic noise (hence the title Wild Silence). This was created as a result of my longing to be out in nature, for a period of my life where I had no choice but to work a desk-based job. The intention is for the listener to use this album to escape into nature, when the real thing is not possible. For use as a sleep aid, a mediation aid, a stress-buster, a study/work companion, or to just bring some joy to your ears. Please see tracks for individual in-depth descriptions.
