“I got the opportunity to work with Vinita in Flipkart. Vinita is a very detail oriented tech lead. She had a great hold on projects. She managed multiple projects at the same time and is brilliant at switching contexts. She analyses the work to be done in details and comes up with near accurate dev effort on a feature launch. She understands the business needs and the rationale for launching a feature. Vinita has been instrumental in launching an entire platform that supports multiple offer formats. It was a privilege working with Vinita. She is someone a PM can count on as a tech counterpart.”

What are the best ways to manage resources during project emergencies?
Instead of trying to manage resources, empower them. Few ways to do this: 1. Discuss the problem statement clearly. Ensure everyone understands the end goals & the success criteria. Use the five-whys technique to get to the underlying root cause. 2. Establish decision boundary. Explain what decisions they can make on their own and when you need to be involved. This empowers your team to unblock themselves faster without depending on you for every small thing. 3. Delegate, but don't abdicate. Rely on your team's knowledge and experience to find the best possible solution, but be around to support them when they need it. 4. Once the urgent issue is under control, put measures in place to prevent such issues from occurring in the future.

How can you use the Socratic method to improve your reasoning skills?
Ask these questions to make better decisions using socratic method: #1 Seek clarification What exactly is the issue or decision being faced? What do we hope to achieve from this decision? #2 Understand the belief and it's origin What beliefs, emotions or biases might be influencing this perspective? #3 Challenge assumptions What assumptions are being made? #4 Backup through evidence What evidence supports the current perspective? How can we validate the evidence? #5 Consider alternate viewpoints What do others think of this decision? What other options, solutions or alternative viewpoints have been considered? #6 Explore implications and consequences What are the short-term and long-term consequences of this decision?

What are the benefits and drawbacks of the regret minimization framework for decision-making?
I suggest using Socratic questioning. It is a method of critical thinking and inquiry that involves asking a series of probing questions to explore ideas, clarify thoughts, and reach deeper understanding. Seeking clarification: What exactly is the issue or decision being faced? Understand the belief and its origin: What beliefs, emotions or biases might be influencing this perspective? Challenge assumptions: How do I know that these assumptions are accurate? Explore implications and consequences: What are the short-term and long-term consequences of this decision? Avoiding analysis paralysis Is there a specific timeline or urgency associated with this decision? Putting it into action How feasible is the implementation?
