Jira is a process management tool. The core of Jira is to create Issue, view issues, edit them and archive or delete them. I have been an architect for these experiences. Building scalable experience with high reliability and performance.

Setup a Lego Team by establishing guidelines, standards, vision and goals for the team which will be responsible for developing discrete capabilities for multiple Migration teams (Cloud to Cloud Migration, Backup and Restore, Sandbox, Data Residency). Was responsible for creating a code collaboration culture and a change in mindset of all Migration team, where every developer should think and develop things in a discrete way.

Started as an innovation spike, converted into a full project for enabling the Jira Issue Create feature across all Atlassian Products. With this feature, Confluence users can create issues in Jira directly from Confluence pages. Similarly more Atlassian products are being onboarded with this Cross Platform Issue Create Feature.

Led a strategic theme for building more discrete components in Jira. These discrete components will be used to compose more complex experiences in Jira much faster, have consistency in them along with higher maintainability, higher performance, having high developer productivity within Engineers.

In the face of customer feedback regarding performance issues, I led the 'CleanSweep Initiative,' a critical six-month marathon focused on enhancing product performance to bolster customer adoption and satisfaction. My primary objective was to significantly reduce the bundle size of Jira Frontend, a complex task with dependencies across multiple teams and Atlassian's suite of products.

* Strategic Problem-Solving: Assumed leadership of the initiative mid-stream, re-evaluating the existing approach that had stagnated under previous leadership. By shifting the strategy from a full version upgrade of RxJS to implementing deep imports, I unveiled an alternative path that previously went unrecognized, addressing the core issue more efficiently.

* Cross-Team Collaboration: Orchestrated a company-wide engineering effort involving multiple products and teams, navigating through intricate dependencies and leading crucial decision-making processes with architects from various teams.

* Technical Leadership and Innovation: Drove the development of a new code mod, enhancing its efficiency, which facilitated the team to implement deep imports successfully, thus reducing the bundle size substantially within a mere two months—a task that was previously unresolved for six months.

* Hands-On Expertise: Leveraged my extensive engineering experience to contribute hands-on in coding complex segments of the project, accelerating progress where less experienced engineers might have faced delays.

In November 2020, I led a pivotal project at Atlassian that involved the transformation of a legacy customer-facing page, which was originally developed on JSP, into a high-performing, scalable experience using cutting-edge technologies. Recognizing the need for an enhanced user experience and system scalability, I led a team of 15 engineers through a complex modernization process.

Key Contributions and Impact:

* Innovation Leadership: Initiated the adoption of Relay within the company, setting a precedent for future projects. This strategic move not only modernized the user interface but also optimized data management at a fundamental level.

* Technical Strategy: Transitioned the page to a React-Relay based page, significantly improving the customer interaction experience by improving the page load performance and optimised data handling on the page via Relay Pagination.

* Scalability Focus: Integrated GraphQL to address scalability challenges, ensuring the system could support a growing user base and evolving business needs.

App consisted of mixing of 2 songs according to their BPM, changing pitch and tempo of songs, mixing beats with songs, equalizers (high, mid, low pass filters).

App contest organized for India. Participants had to make apps for Smart TV. Was a part of 4 member team. Worked on giving seminars and presentations in esteem colleges and universities of India, like IITs, NITs. Also worked on making sample codes, video tutorials, presentations to help participants in their journey of contest.
