What Revant Himatsingka (Food Pharmer) is doing is nothing short of a dream. And we are awaiting touch down with him.
Since we don’t learn health as a subject in school, I have decided to launch India's "health-school"! I strongly believe that just the way we learn history, geography & English Literature, we need to learn health as a subject in school! The reason I started Health School is because 1) Indians are educated but not health literate 2) Preventing illness is way cheaper than curing illness The first course in Health School will be "Label Seekhega India"- A Nutrition Masterclass. In the next few months I will partner with the best doctors, nutritionists, fitness experts to develop classes on diabetes, sleep, insulin resistance, PCOS and many more topics. I’m running a massive social experiment regarding the price. The price is “Give what you want" and every contribution will feed multiple kids! This way we can tackle both health literacy and hunger! Come let us get together and make India "health literate"! Details to register for the first course happening on 28th July is at https://lnkd.in/g6B3_TGV

Big win! FSSAI just passed two major rules for juice companies 1) No using 100% fruit juice 2) To use “Sweetened Juice” for juices with more than 15grams of sugar per kg of juice. For many years companies like Real Juice and Tropicana have been using ‘100% juice’ for juices which have roughly 20% orange juice concentrate, and this new FSSAI rule will start forcing the brands to be more honest. Millions of Indians falsely believe packaged juices filled with sugar to be healthy and I am happy to see FSSAI finally cracking down misleading ads in packaged juices. My message to all major food brands- Start making your ads honest before you are forced by the government or the public to do so!

Most of the ORS in the Indian pharmacies are FAKE! Fake ORS has high sugar and dangerously low sodium. Consuming fake ORS has resulted in many kids being admitted to the ICU because of brain swelling. Fortunately, we can pick the right ORS by following these simple steps. 1) Real ORS will have "based on WHO recommendation" written on the front package. 2) Fake ORS is classified as a food (not a drug) and will always have a FSSAI sign on the package. Whereas Real ORS does not fall under FSSAI and will not have any FSSAI sign on the package. I request all pharmacies to stop selling fake ORS and I request regulatory bodies to take action against fake ORS!

Asked Gym Instructor, How do you get oxygen in here? We have AC, he said. 😩 So many Indian actually believes Air Conditioners have something to bring in fresh air. 😀 I am tired of explaining AC does not mix fresh air. It just recirculates the same air. And you inhale more CO2. Many of you lock your room from all possible sides because ACs are running. Window close, door close so that cooling should not leak out, right? then you sleep in that room for 8-9 hours too. We work in AC office, our car is AC, our houses are AC and our Gyms are also AC. All of them have one thing in common, all doors and windows close to protect the cooling. It's not oxygen, it's the excess of CO2 that causes more problems. We do more shallow breathing in such rooms. More CO2 in the blood confuses brain and it tries to make up by making you breathe faster. This is the reason we have a little higher than normal heart rate these days. When your cells produce energy, they take in O2 and convert it into CO2. Brain also reduces the O2 to CO2 conversion in the cells because there is already excess CO2 in the blood. Less this reaction, less energy production. Less oxygen in brain, more brain fog. This is one of the reasons our mitochondria health is not optimal and we have mild chronic inflammation in our body all the time. And that's why my friend, researchers are now able to prove. If you spend time in nature you tend to have less inflammation, improved cognition health, feel better in depression, less brain fog, better memory, and improved sleep. All research papers are in the comment section. Repost, if you want others to know this truth. --- here we are, went to the park rather than AC Play zone. tiny steps for this tiny human. #AcOxygenNahiDetiHai 🙄
