[Close-up video of Parker Ramsdell appears] My relationship with Special Olympics now dates back over 25 years. In my decade plus at Brightspot, we've helped launch over 20 digital properties to support Special Olympics. I'm incredibly proud of what we've built for Special Olympics and the impact those sites have had in growing the movement. We've also taken a more mindful approach to accessibility and are continuously improving our platform to make sure it meets accessibility guidelines and standards, right? The overarching goal of every tech company is to grow their audience and grow their user base. There's no easier path to accomplishing that goal than through inclusivity and accessibility. I hope we get to a point where inclusivity and accessibility aren't viewed as opportunities to expand, but as the starting point. With Election Day approaching, how can we ensure everyone has equal access? 🗳️ Our valued partner at the Lighthouse Guild, Jeremy Morak, has shared how Ballot Marking Devices are game-changers for voters with disabilities. Read the full blog here 👉 https://lnkd.in/dyRK9wPw Carousel Description: 1: Title “Have an accessible vote of confidence this election” 2: “Ever heard of a Ballot  Marking Device (BMD)? BMDs are accessible machines that provide a secure voting experience for anyone who is blind or visually impaired. They work by enlarging a ballot’s font size or reading out what is on the ballet. Here’s how to utilize them at your closest polling station”. 3: “Asking is key, There is at least one functioning BMD at every NYC polling site. As soon as you sign in, let the poll worker know that you would like to vote using a ballot marking device.” 4: “Know your rights, If the machine is not working effectively, speak with the Poll Site Coordinator and they are required to reach out to sort a replacement device delivered.” 5: “Always be your best advocate Do not be intimidated if your polling center appears crowded or hectic. You are your best advocate; tools are available to ensure you can cast your ballot, but it’s your responsibility to ask!
