🌈 This July, we were excited to celebrate our inaugural Disability Pride Month, honouring the history, achievements, and experiences of the disability community. This month acknowledges the struggles of many disabled people, while uplifting the rights of disabled people as equal citizens in the world and celebrating the diversity of disability. Our Embrace Ability Pilllar were proud to present a number of activities for our colleagues to get involved in this month, from engaging webinars to immersive learning opportunities, here’s a recap of what we achieved: 🌟 'Diversity in the Workplace, the Invisibility Factor' Webinar: Our ED&I advocates and colleagues, Shauna Rahman and Ciara Nolan participated in the new IrishJobs AsIAm - Ireland’s Autism Charity Company Clinic to share practical knowledge and strategies to create a more inclusive and supportive work environment for autistic people and others with invisible disabilities. 🌟 Irish Sign Language Classes: We facilitated interactive weekly ISL classes taught by the wonderful Emilia Andrioaia, which enhanced communication and inclusivity. 🌟 Webinar with Employers for Change: This Disability Awareness/Confidence session elevated our understanding of disability awareness, positive disclosures, and reasonable accommodations. 🌟 Drop-in and Learn Day: Across our offices we spotlighted educational resources and provided some sweet treats to improve our colleague’s knowledge on different disabilities. We are committed to continuing the tradition of Disability Pride Month and maintaining our dedication to equity, diversity, and inclusion at our firm. #DisabilityPride2024 #GTAbility #EmbraceInclusion Kristin McKenzie Vass Jack Cuddy Assoc CIPD Roslyn Lee Symmons - FCA Dan Holland
