Frequently Asked Questions

  • Is Disasterpeace back for the OST? Kinda! The OST is primarily composed by Troupe Gammage, Audio Lead, with contributions from Joel CorelitzAzuria Sky, and indeed Disasterpeace.

  • Is it a sequel to Hyper Light Drifter? No, but Alx Preston (Founder / Creative Director) has said that it shares "connective tissue" with HLD.

  • Does the new "drifter" really have three eyes? Yup

  • Will Solar Ash eventually release on other platforms? (Steam, Xbox, Switch, Linux, etc.) We certainly hope so and are working toward making it happen! Though we're unable to provide a definitive timeline on that yet.

  • Will there be a physical release? We’re looking into it but please direct those questions to our publisher, Annapurna.

  • Will there be an OST? Yes! We’re working on it actively. It will come out on Weds, 9/7/22.

  • What is your policy on modding, audio rips, creating fan content, etc.? While technically modding, derivative works, audio rips, etc. are a violation of our copyright, we would like to encourage and support content creation as long as it does not interfere with our business or sales. (Example: A mod that makes the game more accessible or fun for you and other folks is great! Ripping the whole soundtrack and distributing it for free or for money as a 3rd party is not great!) Please feel free to reach out so we can discuss on a case-by-case basis.

  • Will the 100% completion reward(s) still be available if I later delete my 100% save file? Yes, delete away! The completion flag is saved globally and not to individual save files.

  • Following the Steam release of Solar Ash, there seems to be some discrepancy in pricing between Steam and EGS in different regions. Is this intentional? Yes, the pricing is set and intentional.

  • Will there be a Mac release of Solar Ash for Steam? No, this is not currently planned.

  • Is Solar Ash playable on Steam Deck? Yes! As of 12/20/22. Still some UI changes and video re-encoding to come.
