Grim Fandango is an adventure game developed and published on October 30, 1998 by LucasArts for Microsoft Windows, with game direction by Tim Schafer. It is the first adventure game by LucasArts to use 3D computer graphics overlaid on pre-rendered static backgrounds, in which the player must converse with characters and examine, collect, and use objects to solve puzzles.

- The entire premise of the game is based on the afterlife from Aztec Mythology, "Mictlan". Which consists of Nine different Underworlds and always requires four years to cross from the first to the ninth.
