I used the Logitech universal remote for years, which no longer has any tech support and had pretty much given up that there wasn’t a universal remote that could do multi-step functions without needing an engineering degree to program. Until I found Switchbot! This thing not only looks good but feels good! I use this only for my home entertainment system, so I can’t attest to the other smart home features but to be able to program multi step functions like turning your tv on, turn it to a specific input, turning your sound system on and your stream box with one push of a button this thing RULES! There’s a bit of a learning curve initially programming it but I’m a simpleton when it comes to electronics and even I was able to figure things out. There’s not a huge brand pool yet that will automatically recognize your specific brand of appliance (which I’m assuming will change as the pool grows) so you might have to manually program each remote button with specific brands of TV’s and Blu Ray but the hub had absolutely no problems recognizing each button. The only thing i wish this cool little remote could do is mimic certain features you get on say, an appleTV remote, like long press functions and voice commands, but those are just small things. If you’re looking for a powerful universal remote to replace your beloved Logitech universal remote that's easy to program, skip the Sofabaton and go with Switchbot!

The remote serves as a fantastic all-in-one device. I am absolutely loving it so far! As of July 8, 2024, the only things I would ask for are the ability to add more scenes and the ability to order scenes and devices as I wish, rather than having all my devices listed first, then all my scenes.
